Keepin’ It Real’s vision is to help make a difference in the lives of people struggling and suffering to find their way in this world. Through educational programs like Keepin' It Real, we intend to help make our communities safe so that elders and children can walk their own streets. We intend to create programs that help educate, train the unskilled, and inspire hope in the lives of those who have given up their spirits to a life of crime and drug addiction. And finally, in the words of the incarcerated young people of Juvenile Hall in Los Angeles, "Prison is the Beast, and the Beast must be destroyed. One way to destroy the Beast is to starve the Beast, we have to work toward keeping people from returning to prison"
